      Yachats, Waldport, Seal Rock, Tidewater & Five Rivers


   South Lincoln Resources is an all volunteer, hands-on, non profit community organization created to coordinate and provide service programs for charitable activities and to work with other service groups to benefit the south Lincoln County community. SLR runs four programs and works directly with three partner services. Community support and funding sustains all SLR activities.

         SLR programs & partners:

•  Furniture & Appliances Program – Donated household furnishings and appliances are collected, stored and distributed, at no cost to families and individuals in need.

•  Medical Equipment Program – Collection, storage and distribution of durable medical supplies including hospital beds, wheel chairs and walkers, at no cost to residents in need.

•  Emergency Voucher Assistance – Financial assistance to avert critical circumstances.

•  Holiday Food Baskets – Feeding hundreds of families for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

•  Sponsor of South County Needy Children’s Christmas Gift Program.

•  Sponsor of Waldport Food Share.

•  Partner with Seventh-day Adventist Clothing Program.

        Activity Summary
South county population is about 8,000 with 20% living below poverty level
Waldport Food Share
    provided   208,205 pounds of food in 2013 average month of 595 people and 236 households
 Adventist Clothing Share
    gave away over 50,000 items in 2013

SLR Furniture/Appliances/Medical Equipment
    took in and gave away   1631 items of Furniture & Appliances in 2013

    plus 302 pieces of Medical  Equipment
Holiday Food Baskets for local children, families, seniors
    2013:  Thanksgiving – 875 people     Christmas – 1100 people
South County Needy Children’s Christmas Program
    provided gifts to 219 children in 2013
Emergency Voucher Program provides thousands of dollars in aid to local residents annually.
    This program helps people stay in their homes with basic services in critical situations.
    Administered by churches, managed by SLR. Guidelines and usage are closely monitored.
    100% of funds donated to this program go directly to assist our neighbors.
